Xmas spirit was much enhanced by cosy bars and good beer on offer.
I see you have also sampled Budweiser Budvar on tap as well.
I had a magnificent pint (or litre) in the pub next to the brewer / adjacent to the square and the cheapest best valu beef goulash I have had to accompany it; both at a cost of next to nothing. Unitl you have tasted a genuine draft at this pub, you have n ot had the Budvar experience.
What a travesty that our US friends dare call their motley brew the same name!Mike BARRYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14410777324208010076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5250674237768287329.post-58222161956034180102010-11-02T17:25:42.819-06:002010-11-02T17:25:42.819-06:00If you can force a trip to London and the South Ea...If you can force a trip to London and the South East of England make sure you sample Youngs' (of Wandsworth) bitter, Harveys bitter (small old brewery in Lewes, Sussex with a small number of pubs in vicinity, and Shepherd Neame (very hoppy and bitter, not to everyone's taste but from the oldest brewery in the UK and still going strong, with one of its brews bearing the historic name of 'Spitfire', as the Battle of Britain was fought in the skies ab ove the brewery in Faversham, Kent.
Another intersting named beer is from Charles Wells ltd of Bedford, Bedforshire; their 'Wells Fargo"!
Will follow your progress with interest.Mike BARRYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14410777324208010076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5250674237768287329.post-39881680647255468642010-09-23T10:29:21.394-06:002010-09-23T10:29:21.394-06:00Hi Fezz, nice blog!!
